Funerals at All Saints
Arranging a funeral requiring the assistance of All Saints vicar
When needing to arrange a funeral speak first with your chosen funeral director. On your behalf they will act as go-between, making the initial contact with the church office and vicar.
Then the vicar will contact you to arrange to visit you. This is an opportunity for you and others in the family to share something of your loved one's story. It is also a chance to talk together about the details of the funeral service.
Accompanying a person on their last journey on earth
is a privilege for all concerned.

Prayers for those who have died and those who mourn
At All Saints we pray daily for those who have recently died,
and for their families and friends. Prayers are offered in the lead up
to the funeral and for a few days afterwards. When requested they are
also offered around the anniversary of a death.
The annual service of All Souls (early November)
is a way of remembering those known to us who have died, and a way of
expressing our continuing love for them. The service aims to be a gentle
time of commemoration, a safe space for grief. During prayers, names
of the departed are read aloud and there is also an opportunity to light
candles in memory.
to the service is sent to all next of kin whose loved one's funeral was
linked with All Saints in the previous 12 months. The invitation extends to all. After the service afternoon tea is served, free of charge. All are welcome.
